MidwayUSA Foundation Now Accepting Cash Grant Applications

Columbia, MO – The MidwayUSA Foundation is currently accepting grant applications from shooting teams in their Team Endowment Program. Any youth shooting team with a balance in their MidwayUSA Foundation Team Endowment that did not apply in June 2019 is eligible to apply for a cash grant. Applicants must complete the MidwayUSA Foundation grant application, found at midwayusafoundation.org/teamgrants and submit it by December 15th.

Teams are eligible to apply for a cash grant, every year. Youth shooting teams can receive 5% of their endowment balance to use for shooting team expenses, such as ammunition, travel, entry fees, uniforms, targets, and more. The December 2019 cycle has over 2,250 teams eligible, and a potential payout of about $4.3 million.

In their last grant cycle, the MidwayUSA Foundation paid $1.7 million in grants to 521 youth shooting teams. Each year the number of grant applications submitted has increased. Ideally, every shooting team with an endowment will receive a grant each year. If you need assistance or have questions about eligibility, you can email grants@midwayusafoundation.org.

The MidwayUSA Foundation is a public 501(c)(3) charity, founded by Larry and Brenda Potterfield, working to sustain the shooting sports industry by providing permanent, long term endowment funding to over 2,700 youth shooting teams.

SSSF Donates Nearly $500,000 to MidwayUSA Foundation Team Endowment Accounts

The Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation (SSSF) recently donated $480,281 to Team Endowment Accounts at the MidwayUSA Foundation. Teams earned funds by raising money through the SSSF's Vision 20/20 fundraising campaign, SCTP and SASP national fundraisers and by placing in SCTP/SASP national events. These donations have benefited 97 teams participating in the Scholastic Action Shooting Program (SASP) and Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) across 25 different states. Since 2014 the SSSF has donated over $6.5 million to benefit 642 SCTP and SASP team endowment accounts across 45 states at the MidwayUSA Foundation. The SSSF provides SCTP and SASP member-teams the opportunity to earn MidwayUSA Foundation Team Endowment Account funds by participating in SCTP and SASP fundraising activities benefiting local shooting sports communities and through placements in SSSF-sponsored competitions . Please contact the SSSF for more information on how your shooting team can earn team endowment funding for their account at the MidwayUSA Foundation. The Team Endowment Program at the MidwayUSA Foundation gives a community the ability to financially support a competitive youth shooting sports program or financially assist in the start-up of a new youth shooting sports program. The team can then request a grant of up to 5% of their endowment account balance once each year, in either December or June, to pay for team expenses. For more information about how the MidwayUSA Foundation is changing the future of youth shooting sports, please visit midwayusafoundation.org or call 1-877-375-4570.
