The pistol is being auctioned on Gunbroker.com now through March 21, 12:30PM eastern time. The stainless P95 Manual Safety model pistol was first introduced as “NEW” in the 2001 Ruger® Firearms Catalog. The serial number of this pistol is 314-42695 and the testfire date is February 2, 2001. The pistol has never been fired beyond normal testing during manufacture. The pistol’s slide is made of Terhune Anticorro stainless steel and features nearly indestructible resin grip panels and a custom compounded polymer frame. This manual safety model pistol incorporates a manual ambidextrous lever that, when engaged, prevents firing unless the lever is in the “fire” position. The KP95 pistol will be shipped in a gray plastic pistol case along with one 10-shot magazine and appropriate instruction manual. High School and Collegiate shotgun coaches & athletes are invited to this special 1 day clinic hosted by Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever. If you want to learn how to shoot better, or understand why you miss, you wont want to miss this opportunity. Each clinic is open to shooters of varying skill levels and is customized to the needs of coaches and athletes. Attendees will learn from former Team USA member Terri DeWitt. Terri is a level 3 NRA Certified Shotgun Instructor and is finishing her Master's degree in sport coaching as well as attending the International Shooting Sports Federation Coach School to attain international certification. Most recently, Terri served as the MidwayUSA Foundation Program Manager for the eastern U.S. Terri also serves as the head coach for the Scholastic Clay Target Program International National Team.For the Coaches: Shooting Sports Clinics will help evaluate the skills and techniques of those coaches who introduce and teach trap shooting at the youth level. Attendees will receive instruction and hands-on experience with athletes during the Youth Clinic. For the Athletes: Athletes will be provided a fun and safe learning enivronment that enhances the quality & abilities of young aspiring shotgun athletes. The serial number is 17-76914 and the testfire date is February 11, 1982. This pistol has never been fired beyond normal testing during manufacture. Manufacture of the Standard Model pistols began in 1949 and were in production until the Mark II series was introduced in 1982. That makes this one of the last Standard Models produced. This pistol features a tapered 4-3/4” barrel; a fixed, wide-blade Patridge-type front sight; and a windage-adjustable, square notch, dovetail-mounted rear sight. The grip panels are made of butaprene-type hard rubber with sharp diamond checkering and a silver-colored Ruger eagle medallion inlaid in the right grip panel. The trigger is grooved and has a 3/8 inch wide curved finger surface. The Standard Model Pistol will be shipped in its original yellow and black-hinged cardboard box along with a 9-shot magazine, original instruction manual, purchaser record card, and marketing literature. The rifle was manufactured January 28, 1981. There is some bluing worn off of the magazine release. It has an American walnut stock with a curved, metal butt plate, and a barrel band at the front of the forend. The OHIO STATE SKEET ASSOCIATION (OSSA) announced this week that they are awarding $250 each to the four (4) Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) Skeet Teams in Ohio for a total of $1000 to help with their operating expenses. This is the third year that OSSA has made cash grants to SCTP Teams. "OSSA is pleased to be able to support the SCTP teams and youth shooting sports, and in so doing, help grow skeet shooting” said Gustavo Acosta, OSSA President. “This generous grant by OSSA is a great example of how state associations can give back to their sport by investing in youth shooting” said Tom Wondrash, SCTP National Director. SCTP State Skeet Advisor, Dan Hathaway states, “ We are pleased to have the support of OSSA in our local, state and national events…this grant is much appreciated by the teams.” OSSA has over 150 members who compete in registered skeet events. OSSA sanctions National Skeet Shooting Association (NSSA) registered shoots held in the state of Ohio and operates the Ohio State Skeet Championship.
The Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation (SSSF), the National Governing Body of the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) and the Scholastic Action Shooting Program (SASP), is once again offering a scholarship program to reward deserving SCTP/SASP graduating seniors with needed college assistance. The main objective is to award as many scholarships as possible to qualifying SCTP / SASP graduating seniors. Since 2013 SSSF has awarded over $300,000 in scholarship funds benefiting over 300 student athletes from 39 different states in the Scholastic Clay Target and Scholastic Action Shooting programs. SSSF is establishing minimal guidelines for the selection procedure, thus allowing the final selection to be as simple as possible. *NOTE - You must be a current and paid member of the SCTP or SASP national organization at time of application submission! See details on how to complete your team registration here.General Procedures: Each applicant must be a graduating senior within the year of the awarded scholarship and must be registered for college before the scholarship is awarded in that same year.
Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative Grade Point Average through the most recent grading period ending on or before April 1, 2018.
Each prospective recipient must be registered as a full-time college student before the scholarship is awarded and must provide the name of the post-secondary college or community/ junior college to receive the scholarship proceeds. Each scholarship check will be mailed to the appropriate college in the student's name by October 1, 2018. The scholarship funds are to be used for tuition, fees, etc. This is a one-time, non-renewable scholarship.
Applicants may not be in receipt of any "full" scholarship funds in order to qualify (i.e., athletics, military academy, academic, etc.).
Applicants must have participated during 2017-2018 in one of their SCTP / SASP State Championships, National Championships, or regional events in Trap, Skeet, Sporting Clays, or Olympic Bunker; Olympic Skeet Championships, Pistol or Rifle.
