Photo courtesy of Andre' Dall'au. We had a great turnout for the Southwest Winter Regional match , which took place on February 6 at the Cawthorne Cartridge Club in Navasota, Texas. Teams from Texas and as far away as Washington, New York, Florida, Maryland, Colorado, Alabama, and Arizona journeyed to the Lone Star state for some friendly competition. Service Academies (West Point, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy and Texas A&M Corps of Cadets Marksmanship Unit) all competed this year. We also had a few new teams join us just in time for the match. This was the first match that the U.S. Air Force Academy took part in. The Montgomery County Marksmanship Team and Hays County 4H Shooting Sports all joined just prior to the match and both had great turnouts for the match. This year 132 athletes competed in the match. Thank you to GLOCK and the Texas State Rifle Association for sponsoring the match. Thank you also to Kevin Jimmerson and Chuck Jones for being the match directors for the match.
