Sean Laurent celebrates after winning the Browning Scholarship during the 2016 Nationals. Several youth shooters returned home from the 2016 SCTP and SASP National Championships last month with not only great new memories and friendships, but with new guns and scholarship money as well. SSSF partners, such as Blaser, Browning and Beretta hosted drawings and awarded scholarship money to participants as a way to support the organization, event and participants. The event drew 2,369 competitors from 34 states to participate in trap, skeet and sporting clays through SCTP, and action rifle and action pistol events through SASP.
